Our Policies

Welfare-focused, 1-to-1 grooming. Please take a moment to read through before booking — by booking an appointment you agree to these terms.

Thank you for trusting me with your dog's care! My priority is always your dog's welfare and comfort. To make sure every appointment runs smoothly and safely, please read through my policy below.

Coat Condition & Behaviour

Every dog is assessed individually — pricing reflects the time, care and effort your dog needs, not just their breed.

  • Every dog is different — prices are based on coat condition, behaviour and time taken, not just breed.
  • If your dog has matting, I will always choose comfort over style. I only de-mat for a maximum of 15 minutes. If matting is severe, I will carry out a welfare clip (shaving short) to prevent pain or injury.
  • I will always do what's kindest and safest for your dog, even if that means adjusting the groom.
Photo & Social Media Consent

I love sharing before and after photos to celebrate my furry clients! Photos may be used on social media or for business promotion. If you'd prefer your dog not to be photographed, just let me know — no problem at all.

Payments

Payment is due on collection via bank transfer or cash.

Cancellations & No-Shows
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice — 50% of the groom price will be charged.
  • No-shows (no contact / not turning up) — 100% of the groom price will be charged.
Late Collection

Dogs can become stressed if left waiting too long after their groom. Please collect your dog at the agreed time.

  • A £5 fee applies for every 15 minutes past the agreed collection time.
Consent to Groom

By booking an appointment with Misty's Dog Grooming, you confirm that:

  • You are the legal owner of the dog or have permission to act on their behalf
  • Your dog is fit, healthy, and up-to-date with vaccinations to the best of your knowledge
  • I may stop or adapt a groom if your dog becomes too stressed or unsafe to continue
  • You understand that coat condition may affect the final style
